Washburn 5238

Here we have a super cool 1930s Washburn 5238 tonk Brothers flat top Guitar. First things first the Guitar has been completely restored has recently been re-topped with a replica top. top materials are Adirondack spruce with Adirondack spruce 1/4 scalloped x brace alongside with 1/4 scallop tone bars, and appropriate head, brace popsicle, brace and side supports with small maple bridge plate. top was finished with nitro cellulose lacquer that has been aged to match the rest of the Guitar. replica triple layer binding was made as well to match the back of the original binding as you will notice. Everything else on the instrument is original to it. Looks to have been some lower side crack that was fixed sometime ago looks to have held wonderfully just has finished missing and that one spot. guitar has just had a neck reset plays, phenomenal geometry is spot on. There are lots of little Nicks chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over the instrument as you will notice from the photos that I have provided.
