Description

Here we have a super cool 1939 Recording king Carson, J Robinson model K jumbo acoustic guitar. As you notice the guitar has been converted. The conversion consists of the original top being re-braced with a forward shifted brace pattern. X-brace is 1/4 scalloped thickness along with tone bars and side supports with appropriate head brace and popsicle and small maple bridge plate. The top has had lots of cracks fixed in it. These cracks were mended back together, using a secondary pho top glued to the original top and thickness planed accordingly so top would vibrate correctly I've attached a photo of the bracing so you can understand what I did. The guitar has its original finish. The guitar still does obtain its original, fingerboard and back interior, bracing head block and tail block. the guitar looks to have been re fretted at some point. the frets have recently been leveled, re-crowned and dressed. This guitar is Gibson made and definitely an unbelievable instrument. The guitar does have lots of little nicks chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over it as you will notice from the photos that I have provided. The guitar comes with a aftermarket case please feel free to ask any other questions you might have.
