This is the nicest example currently on the market of the early and rare Mesa Mark 1.

You have got to love a production amp that has plastic, Dymo labels on the back to show you what knobs and jacks are.  And how about those labels?  They just hang in there forever.  Dymo labels and cockroaches - two things that would survive Armageddon.

What you don't want to see when you're looking at old Mesa amps are the original electrolytic capacitors.  I got into this one and changed them out.  It isn't the easiest amp to work on - they really kept the layout tight and a little tough to get your fingers and a soldering iron into, but I pulled it off.  This saves you at least $150, what a tech would likely charge to change the caps.  The originals are included.  I also swapped out four resistors that were sketchy and one potentiometer that had previously been replaced - the treble pot.

The rest of the amp is original.

The amp now runs strong and quiet.  It has huge, clean clean tones - they're underrated in this regard.  You get huge, full cleans with big bass and beautiful clarity.  You can also dial in every range of distortion with that signature Mesa rock tone.  The Limit knob knocks the overall volume down to nearly 0 if you want.  There is also the option to run at 60 or 100 watts.

We will ship the amp in three boxes.  Assembly will be required on delivery.  We separate the heavy speaker and chassis from the cab.  There is no other way to get the amp to you safely, unless you come to the shop and pick it up.  If you aren't ok with assembly, please do not order the amp.  That said, it is quite simple and does not require any expertise, and we can help over the phone.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  We remove the chassis from some amps so that the large transformers don't damage a chassis or cabinet.  We remove heavy speakers from some amps so they don't damage baffles.  These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
