Description

Presenting the Martin D-42 Rosewood Dreadnought. Martin's 40 series models (41, 42, and 45) are part of their Standard Series, the backbone of Martin: distinguished instruments that created the template for the American acoustic flattop guitar. Standard Series models embody nearly two centuries of craftsmanship and technique—history made from wood and wire. These legendary guitars and the artists who played them helped establish country, folk, bluegrass, and rock. From Martin about this middle model within the 40 series: "With back and sides of premium East Indian rosewood and a spruce top, this instrument is highly appointed with pearl inlay and enhanced with vintage appointments, such as antique white binding and open gear tuners . Massive bass response balanced with articulate highs and a high performance neck makes the D-42 a beautifully appointed tonal masterpiece that makes playing for hours an easy task." In the 40 Series guitars, the D-41 has custom abalone on the top, the D-42 has custom abalone on the top AND the sides, and the D-45 has custom abalone on the top, sides, AND back. Need electronics?
