1999 Martin C-TSH Thomas Humphrey Millenium Classical, in overall great used condition. A seriously unique model, resulting from a collaboration between Martin Guitar and renowned luthier Thomas Humphrey - only 263 units were produced. Thomas Humphrey's guitars are incredibly well regarded - with his "Millenium" model becoming so popular at the time that he stopped making his standard models shortly after introducing it. In 1997, this design was licensed to Martin and the "Martin Millenium" was born, being the basis of this collaboration.
Constructed with a gracefully arched Engelmann Spruce top with Humphrey's intricate lattice-bracing and East Indian Rosewood back and sides. One of the most notable aspects of the C-TSH is its elevated fingerboard and negative neck angle. This configuration causes the neck to angle down towards the body, similar to how harp strings interact with their soundboards, providing a unique playing experience and sound projection. This innovative design is coupled with a slightly slimmer 48mm nut width, which may be more comfortable for players who are typically more used to steel string acoustics. Includes OHSC.
