Description

The Iconic Solana Studio - 3 Tone Sunburst is a masterclass in boutique craftsmanship, blending vintage soul with modern precision. Built to the highest standards by Master Builder John Cruz and Iconic Guitars founder Kevin Proctor, the Studio Series represents the pinnacle of playability, tone, and feel. Every detail of this instrument is carefully considered, making it not just a guitar, but a tool of inspiration.

The alder body, finished in a timeless 3-tone sunburst with medium aging, radiates vintage character while maintaining the pristine feel of a master-built instrument. Coated in gloss nitro, the body breathes and resonates beautifully, delivering the warmth and dynamic response that serious players crave. Thoughtfully sculpted arm and belly contours ensure effortless comfort, while the vintage neck heel and 1/2” top & back body radii enhance the guitar’s elegant, flowing lines. A recessed top jack adds a modern touch, keeping your cable cleanly tucked away during performance.

At the heart of this beast lies a set of Iconic Revolution pickups—Revolution S single coils in the neck and middle, delivering chimey clarity and vintage spank, while the Revolution HB bridge humbucker packs the punch for searing leads and fat, harmonically rich rhythms. The volume, tone, and blend controls, along with a 5-way blade switch, give you endless tonal flexibility, making this an incredibly versatile workhorse for any gig or session.

The maple neck, with its silky-smooth satin nitro finish and light vintage tint, is built for comfort and speed. The medium C-VM profile (.820” - .890”) offers a perfect balance of substance and playability, while the Indian rosewood fretboard with a 9.5” - 12” compound radius ensures effortless bends and articulate precision. The 22 nickel frets (.057” - .110”) provide durability and sustain, and details like parchment fretboard dots, white side dots, and a vintage gold/black logo complete the classic aesthetic.

With Gotoh SD91 aged nickel tuners and a Gotoh 510-6 Hole BS Tremolo, tuning stability is rock-solid while maintaining vintage charm. The Tusq XL nut (1.6875” width) further enhances tuning reliability, making this an instrument that stays dialed in, no matter how hard you push it. Weighing in at just 7 lbs 2 oz, the Solana Studio is perfectly balanced, lightweight, and built for comfort on stage and in the studio.

Packaged in a premium hard case, the Iconic Solana Studio - 3 Tone Sunburst is a guitar that feels like an old friend from the moment you pick it up. It's the ultimate fusion of heritage and innovation—crafted by two of the finest minds in guitar building, designed to meet the demands of the most discerning players. If you’re after an instrument that delivers jaw-dropping tone, effortless playability, and timeless style, this is the one.
