1959 Harmony Stratotone Two Tone Sunburst
Two Tone Sunburst, EX-, Airline was a brand used by retail/mail order giant Montgomery Wards. Wards was based in Chicago. Harmony made guitars and amps for Montgomery Wards. This semi hollow (an idea borrowed from the Gretsch Duo Jet) has a beautiful, all lacquer two tone burst like a 50’s Strat. Note, the back and sides are also “sunbursted”. Has great sounding DeArmond made pickups, original brown bakelite knobs, bakelite switch tip and one piece maple neck. This has very pleasing tone on the first strum. It’s very loud acoustically. 24 1/4” scale, 1 11/16” nut width. Freshly set up with .11’s and includes a cool original brown soft shell case in good condition.
