Hamer Sunburst Double Cut 1980 w Flame Maple Top
Now available on consignment, an original Hamer Sunburst from 1980 in its faded original cherry sunburst finish!
These early USA made Hamers are hard to find in Australia, with this example being in largely original condition, and free from any breaks or repairs.
The red in the sunburst is pretty much faded out, revealing a stunning flame maple top. As you can see the guitar has been well played, having some fret wear and plenty of dings. The only changed parts appear to be the strap buttons, otherwise it all looks unchanged.
The original pots date to early 1980, and both original Dimarzio pickups remain as well. All of the hardware looks correct down to the original Grover tuners, however there are small touchups around the tuner bushings (see photos).
Otherwise this guitar is all there, having a thick growling set of pickups and a low easy playing action.
Comes in a non-original TKL hardcase.
