1981 Greco EGF 850C Special Order Flame Top Custom Les Paul

This Greco is an all original non-catalog Special Order model EGF 850C, a Flame Topped Custom. As a Super Real era LP Custom, the guitar features all gold hardware, waffle back tuners found on higher grade Greco Customs, five ply binding on the headstock, seven ply binding on the body's top and five ply on its back.

Pickups are Maxon PU-2's with gold covers and pole screws, which are an excellent humbucker. Pickups are dated to January 1981 and the Serial number March 1981. The neck is one piece mahogany with a rosewood fretboard, fret edge binding and mother of pearl block inlays.

Condition overall is outstanding on this guitar with a few signs of its age and all original. I believe its case is original to the guitar as well. The guitar shows little signs of being played, even the frets appear to be as they were dressed by Fujigen back in 1981. Frets have been polished and a full setup done so it plays as it should.
