If you’ve looking for a top-of-the -line Telecaster for your instrument arsenal, look no further. Offered is this Aged ’61-T Type built by Gil Yaron.
This amazing instrument has a light-weight one-piece aged ash body which gives this amazing instrument a total weight of just 6.6 pounds. It is finished in transparent vintage white nitrocellulose lacquer with light aging. It has a highly figured reclaimed maple neck with soft V shape and depth measurements of .86” at the first fret increasing to .96” at the twelfth fret. The fingerboard is made of very dark Brazilian rosewood with a 9.5” radius, medium/tall fret wire, and a 1.650” nut. It has Gil’s own hand-would pickups and a mid-50’s wiring circuit (with tone control).
Gil spared no expense with this instrument. Check out the router template dowel plugs evident under the transparent finish on the back of the guitar – just as you would find on a real pre-CBS era Telecaster. This is just one example of the lengths Gil goes to make his guitars special. His efforts result in a guitar that is a dream to play and sounds better than anything this side of a real vintage Tele.
Except for the light aging applied at the workshop this guitar remains in near mint condition and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in its original SKB molded case which Gil prefers for all his builds.
If you are like me and yearn for the very best guitars available, particularly Tele-style guitars, then this is an instrument that warrants your careful consideration. Amazing….
