1954/1955 GIBSON J45. BODY APPOINTMENTS SHOW SMALL PICKGUARD,BELLY UP BRIDGE ,X BRACED 1954 APPOINTMENTS, BUT WITH THE 1955 20 FRET NECK. MOST LIKELY THE LAST 1954 J45 ON THE ASSEMBLY LINE AND ONE OF THE FIRST 1955 J45'S OUT OF THE 1432 PRODUDED THAT YEAR MAKING IT A REASONABLY RARE GIBSON FOR SURE,AT SOME POINT IN THE 1970'S THE BACK STARTED TO SEPERATE AT THE WAIST BOUTS AND WAS REGLUED BY THE OWNER WITH GLUE RESIDUE EVIDENT ON THE BACK OF THE GUITAR,STRUCTUALLY SOUND AND I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THIS RESIDUE BEING UNSURE IF IT WOULD DAMAGE THE ORIGINAL FINISH,GREAT PLAYING GUITAR WITH BRAZ ROSEWOOD BRIDGE AND FINGERBOARD WITH PLAYERS WEAR AND CHECKING OBSERVED,COMES WITH WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A NON ORIGINAL STORE BOUGHT CHIPBOARD CASE. RED W AT THE BEGINING OF THE FON/SERIAL NUMBER,REPLACED BUT FOORPRINT CORRECT TUNING KEYS.
