1961 Gibson SG/Les Paul Custom White

The SG/Les Paul Custom is definitely not for everybody. That third pickup gets in the way of some players. The "Fretless Wonder" frets (which are in perfect condition) are not made for big string bends (but are wonderful for chords). The white finish doen't appeal to all either. All that said, this is a fabulous guitar. Condition is 9.5+ (near mint). Plays like a dream...no plays itself...no plays effortlessly. The action is as low as any guitar I've ever played (and that includes Mosrites). This is probably the cleanest SG Custom in the world. All the gold (including all the screws and the strap buttons) is still there. The only thing that keeps it from mint status are a few dings. White finishes are very thick and prone to chipping. There is no checking. There is no wear. There are no issues. Everything is original (three sealed PAFs). It is not cheap and I won't be negotiating. It is a consignment and the owner doesn't need to sell. If you want the best SG Custom on Earth for your collection, talk to me. I can get this guitar from here to your music room today. OK, maybe tomorrow. Case is original perfect. I don't think this guitar ever left the house.
