It is one of the very few Murphy Lab Les Pauls which were hand painted by Tom Murphy. Tom is no longer painting guitars, and the Tom Murphy painted option was around a $5000 upgrade when it was still available. As a result, these rare Left Handed Murphy Painted Les Pauls are destined to go up in value over time.
It is a special order/Made-To-Measure guitars from September 2022. It has the 2nd degree of relicing (Light Aged) and is finished in Murphy Lemon.
A very important consideration for Les Pauls has always been the weight. This is the lightest Les Paul I've had in over 35 years: it only weighs 7.86 lbs ( 7 lbs, 13.8 oz - see photo ) !
Also, the bridge pickup is outstanding - has a nice edge to it without being harsh or strident like with most Les Pauls. It has the perfect Les Paul tone!
The top has beautiful and complex figuring, the antithesis of the common BBQ tops found on many Les Pauls.
All in all, this may be the finest Les Paul I've had in over 35 years!

It also has "reflector" Volume & Tone knobs and wider "double-ring" tuner tips. The Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a clone of the originals from the hide-glue construction to the chemically re-engineered plastic parts.

The guitar is in Mint/Unplayed condition with NO fret wear. Includes OHSC, COA, and all of the paperwork which came with the guitar when new.
