Description

Here we have a super cool 1940s Gibson Lg-2 acoustic guitar. As you will notice the guitar has been completely restored the restoration consists of the guitar being re-topped with Adirondack spruce with a forward shifted brace pattern. X-brace is 1/4 scalloped thickness along with tone bars and side supports with appropriate head brace and popsicle and small maple bridge plate. The guitar has been completely refinished due to a poor finish prior to me receiving this instrument. Guitar has also had three back braces reglued at some point in its life, they appear to be solid but crude looking. The instrument was refinished with nitrocellulose lacquer that has been aged to match the guitar appropriately along with a lacquered in celluloid tortoise Pic Gard . The guitar obtains re-issue tuners, along with original fingerboard and back interior, bracing head block and tail block. The guitar still does obtain its original Gibson logo on the front of the headstock as you will notice from the photos that I provided. The guitar has also been re-fretted along with a replacement rosewood bridge bone saddle and nut. The guitar does have lots of little nicks chips, dings dents, and superficial blemishes all over it as you will notice from the photos that I have provided. The guitar comes with a aftermarket case please feel free to ask any other questions you might have.
