Description

Now available on consignment, a well played original 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom with a one piece body, 3-piece neck, and no volute.

As you can see this guitar has been played quite a bit in its life, with a few changes along the way including:

  • The pickups are period correct late 60s T-tops, though not original to this guitar. They have been wax potted in the past.

  • The guitar was refretted with a new nut long ago with medium jumbo frets, there is still plenty of life there.

  • At one point there was a mini-switch between the controls, this has been professionally repaired.

  • The jackplate, switch tip, truss rod cover, and pickup rings are replacements. The switch ring and pickguard are original.

Despite some modifications this guitar retains its original finish and has NO breaks or repairs to the neck. The 4x original pots date to the 52nd week of '68, and the original hardware all remains including the original nylon saddles on the bridge.

A fantastic sounding and playing '69 Les Paul Custom, includes a 70s hardcase in good condition.
