Highly figured book matched two piece flamed maple top, hot hide glued Indian rosewood fingerboard, cherry stained mahogany back and sides, vintage style brown Gibson hard shell case, complete with 60th Anniversary backplate medallion, all paperwork, case candy and COA. Near mint factory VOS with accurate 59 specs. Gibson’s latest attempt to reproduce the 1959 Les Paul Standard results in praise from the R-9 enthusiast’s gallery as they get closer and closer to the real thing every year. This one sounds extremely good and is near mint barely used condition if not for some recent discoloration on the binding from my playing it when brand new. Perfect balance and feel at a comfy 8 pounds, 10 ounces sonically great with good bandwidth, un-potted factory Burst Buckers work great give the guitar a very microphonic characteristic.
