1964 Gibson L5CES Special sunburst, Near Mint, Original Hard, $14,500.00
ON HOLD!!! This is a custom-order Florentine cutaway L5C with a factory DeArmond 1100 pickup and single volume control and input jack on the pickguard. The guitar is in in near-mint original condition with no issues. The sunburst finish is very rich and reveals a carved and highly-figured curly maple back, sides , and neck as well as a beautiful carved spruce top. The dimensions are also custom: 25.25" scale length, 16-7/8" body width, 3-3/8" body depth. The neck is the standard 1'11/16" at the nut. The OHC is a Lifton model like the Johnny Smith case, very nice and clean and sturdy.
This guitar has a lovely acoustic voice, and when the DeArmond pickup is dialed in its voice becomes rich and warm, very reminiscent of the sound of jazz in the 1950s. Florentine cutaway acoustic L5Cs are extremely rare - I have seen only one other one in my lifetime. The custom features and extra care lavished on this instrument make it a very special and rewarding guitar to play and enjoy. ON HOLD!!!

The customer pays all shipping, insurance, and bank charges including all charges for returned merchandise. All insurance claims are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping will be via Federal Express unless other arrangements are made.
Upon receipt of the merchandise, if you are dissatisfied with the purchase, please notify us within 24 hours and we will refund your money, less shipping costs, as soon as the instrument is returned to us in the same condition as when shipped (except for layaways).
