1948 Gibson L-5P in excellent condition. The cutaway equipped L-5 was known as the L-5 Premier from 1939 to c. 1948, before being renamed the L-5C. Carved spruce top, flame maple back and sides, 3-piece maple neck, ebony fingerboard with pearl large block inlays. brazilian rosewood bridge, Kluson sealfast tuners, and a sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. All original with the exception of an added Johnny Smith pickup in the neck position and an added volume knob. No history of major repairs and completely crack free. Neck is 1 11/16" wide at the nut, profile is 0.91" at the 1st fret, 1.03" at the 10th fret. Weight is 6.48lbs. Comes with a brand new Calton case.
