1909 Gibson H2 Mandola Black

An early example of a better-grade Gibson mandola and in wonderful all-original condition. No repairs ever needed nor done; no cracks, no messin’ around; this 1909 Gibson H-2 is simply fine. Original frets with almost no wear in nearly unplayed condition; all-original Handel tuning machines with those unique, beautiful abalone pearl and wire inlaid buttons. Original white-bordered pickguard inlaid into the top, ebony fingerboard and bridge of course. And it’s got that terrific abalone shell script “The Gibson” logo inlaid on the peghead along with an abalone shell flourish that I’ve never quite seen one like before, and that way cool original tailpiece cover with matching “The Gibson” logo impressed into it.
