Gibson Custom Shop 2022 Murphy LAB 1959 Les Paul Heavy Aged

This "1959 Les Paul Heavy Aged" has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging and led by Tom Murphy, a leading expert in the field.

The beautifully figured flame maple is finished with a greenish dirty lemon fade.

The "Heavy Aged" finish is the second most intense of the four aging options available in the Murphy Lab Collection, and it reproduces the peeling paint on the neck and body, as well as the weather checks on the front of the guitar, giving it a dignified appearance. All parts are glued with all-nickel washers and are not used for any other purpose.

The all-nickel glue and parts are carried over from the True Historic era, and vintage taper pots and bumblebee type oil condensers are used.

The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C" shape, a shape used since 2018 and very slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.

The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombuckers.

The guitar is in good condition with very little signs of wear, no fret wear, and no problems with the neck or truss rod.
