The "1942 Banner J-45 Light Aged" has been aged by Murphy Lab, a team of aging specialists led by Tom Murphy, a founding member of the Gibson Custom Shop and a leading aging expert.
This is the first Gibson acoustic guitar in the "Murphy Lab Acoustic Collection" series to undergo the aging process.
Murphy Lab's aging process realistically reproduce all the weather checks and dents, giving the guitar the look of a vintage guitar that has been carefully played.
The guitar features 1942 J-45 specs, the Banner & Script logo on the headstock and open-back triple tuners.
The Adirondack red spruce top has been Thermally Aged, a process that uses heat and pressure to achieve a vintage sound.
The guitar is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, no fret wear, and no problems with the neck or truss rod.
