Gibson Custom Shop 1993 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Bigsby MOD “Pre-Historic”
It was made in 1993 when the Historic Collection started at the Custom Shop, but it is a 1992 version with no logo on the back of the head & a 5-digit serial number.
It is a reproduction of a 1957 Les Paul Custom with an all-mahogany body, ebony black finish, Grover tuners, gold hardware, and diamond head inlay.
The neck is a narrow 60s style with a short tenon neck joint, and pickups are a pair of 57 Classic pickups.
The stop tailpiece has been replaced with a Bigsby B7, and the stud holes have been left intact.
The tuners have been replaced with Grover locking type, the strap pins have been replaced with locking type, and the bridge has been replaced with TONEPROS. (Original tuners and strap pins are included)
The entire body and back of the neck have been oversprayed and there are sticker marks on the body. (Not visible to the naked eye, but can be seen under a black light)
There is paint peeling on the back of the neck and the edges of the body, and there are numerous dents and scratches throughout the body.
The frets are dented on the plain strings in the low position, and there are about 70% frets remaining.
