We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 2007 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cutaway TV Yellow!
Les Paul Junior was the younger brother of Les Paul Standard and was first sold in 1955. The Les Paul Junior was first introduced in 1955 as the younger brother of the Les Paul Standard, and initially featured the same single cutaway design as the Les Paul Standard. Later, in 1959, a major change was made and it became a double cutaway.
The model we have just received is a 1960 double cutaway. The mahogany used for the body and neck is finished in TV Yellow, a finish that is unique to this model.
The joint position of the double cutaway is extremely high compared to the single cutaway. As a result, playability in the high position is greatly improved. However, in order to maintain the strength of the joint, the position of the front pickup is slightly closer to the bridge. This makes the sound of the front PU a little more defined.
The Les Paul Special itself was originally produced as a student model, but it has grown into a model that has gained many fans because it is full of charm not found in the Standard model.
