Description

If you are a fan of Eric Clapton and/or Les Paul guitars, please read on. Offered here is Eric Clapton 1960 Les Paul VOS serial number EC 015 of the just 350 that were built by Gibson between 2010 and 2011.

The original LP upon which this guitar is based was owned and and played by Clapton early in his career but was stolen during the period in which he was playing with John Mayhall. The original has never been recovered, but I've read that Joe Bonomassa has been quoted as saying it is owned by a east coast US collector who he prefers not to name.

Because so little is definitely known about the specs original guitar, Eric's input was vital to the construction of this very limited run of guitars. The original was thought to be a 1960 model because of it's relatively slim neck. The neck carve on this particular example measures .82" deep at the first fret increasing to .91" at the twelfth fret. It weighs just 8.4 lbs. It has Gibson's 'Antiquity Burst' finish, was equipped with Burst Bucker pickups. The detailed specs for the guitars in this limited run are included in the listing photos.

This guitar plays and sounds superb. The slimmer neck feels great and the tone is classic LP with lots of woody bite to it's voice. Please check out the brief sound sample included below.

This guitar is an early example (EC 015) of the just 350 of the VOS guitars that were built. It has seen little to no play time and remains in near mint condition. The frets are flawless. It comes in its original case along with all the original accessories.

These rarely come up for sale making this a relatively unique opportunity. Click the 'Buy Now' button and make this very collectible Les Paul yours today. You will be very glad you did!
