Description

Voluminous sound with a sense of openness

Gibson / 2002 Advanced Jumbo

The "Advanced Jumbo" was born in 1936 and was manufactured for a very short period of time until about 1940.
It is the successor to the "Jumbo" originally released in 1934, and has a 16" round shoulder jumbo body with spruce top/rosewood sides and back, and a 25.5" scale neck.

This time, we have just received a 2002 model.
It is available in a natural finish, which was not available on the original.
The small pickguard with tiger stripes gives it a vintage look reminiscent of the J-35.

It was probably designed with the acoustic characteristics of rosewood in mind,
Compared to the round shoulders of the same period, the thicker bracing on the body back is evident.

The sound has an open feel and rich volume.
Rosewood is just used,
You can enjoy long sustain with full body even after the midpoint of the sound,
It is the coolest sound.
You may be pleasantly surprised to hear people say, "That's a beautiful sounding Gibson.

[Condition.]
There is a strap pin attached to the heel of the neck and some minor scuffs and scratches, but considering its age of over 20 years, it can be said to be in beautiful condition.

Other than this, the condition of the neck and wood has been inspected and adjusted by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman, and all parts are in excellent condition.
The neck has been straightened and tuned with no chatter or jamming, and the string height at the 12th fret is optimally set at 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side.
The saddle protrusion is approximately 3mm-4mm.
