It was the centerpiece of the 2004 Guitar Auction and sold for about $960,000, making it the most expensive Stratocaster in the world at the time. Based on the Blackie, the 1999 Eric Clapton Stratocaster from Fender USA is equipped with gold lace-sensor pickups that allow for nuance without sacrificing the high frequencies characteristic of the sparkling single pickups. The middle pickup is boosted by 25db. The Stratocaster has a mid control that boosts the midrange by 25db, giving you a powerful humbucking sound with just one Stratocaster. This is a Stratocaster that can be recommended not only for fans, but also for those who are not fans of the Stratocaster.
