1966 Fender Stratocaster – Olympic White
Who couldn’t love this worn-in 1966 Fender Stratocaster in Olympic White with a bound neck?! With Fender’s new ownership in full swing, the Stratocaster saw several changes in 1966, with a couple of these seen on this very guitar! First (and most noticeable) was the introduction of their larger headstock shape, a spec that would continue throughout the 70s. The rarest specification of this guitar is its bound rosewood neck! You hardly ever see a Stratocaster with a bound neck, as we believe that this was either custom ordered or experimental since Fender offered bound necks on some of their other models at the time. The binding adds another dimension of detail to this guitar, pairs well with this played-in Blond finish, and immediately pops in contrast to this dark rosewood fretboard. This guitar is an excellent player all around and has the sound to match its good looks!
