Description

A guitar truly fit for the “First Lady of Rock and Roll,” this 1957 Fender Stratocaster in Blond with gold hardware is as much a player as a looker! This style Stratocaster is typically dubbed the “Mary Kaye” as she was photographed holding a Blond Strat with gold trimmings in a 1957 Fender ad featuring the Mary Kaye Trio.” This particular guitar is such a gorgeous example of that iconic pairing. From its soft V-neck profile to its vibey, patina’d Blond finish and gold hardware, every aspect of this guitar is just incredible. Even unplugged, this guitar has that quintessential “Strat” sound and amped up even more thanks to this trio of balanced single-coil pickups. Playability is fantastic on this piece, with a professional refret using vintage-style wire and a new bone nut. Aside from that and two missing back plate screws, this guitar is original, including the finish!

Overall Condition: 7.5, edgewear, checking, and patina throughout
