1962 Fender Deluxe-Amp
Brown tolex, still from the leather-handle era. Fully-serviced with papers, has original RCA 6V6 power tubes (we verified that that they are properly biased). Has replaced Jensen C-12R made the 8th week of 1965. It was properly reconed and sounds fantastic. The output transformer has been expertly replaced with a Mercury Magnetics unit, but the power transformer is original. These amps are a rising asset with values up from just a few years ago. Why? Huge tone, light weight, still has two channels (and try one through a Marshall 4x12 sometime!) More headroom than the tweed era yet better crunch than the blackface amps. It would not surprise us if these early brown Deluxes became worth more than mid-‘50s Deluxe amps. So, RCA tubes, Jensen speaker, fully-serviced, and cool-looking.
