Fender Custom Shop 2021 Limited 62/63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
The "1962/1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic" model was produced in a limited edition as a 2020 Mid-Year LTD.
It is a reproduction of a 1962-1963 model in Aged Olympic White, and features the transitional period specs, including the round laminated rosewood fingerboard, pickguard screw hole positions and position marker spacing.
It has a Journeyman Relic finish that gives a moderately used look, and the back of the neck has a Heavy Relic finish with stripped paint.
The neck is a slightly thicker 1963 "C" shape, the fingerboard has a compound radius of 7.25 "R to 9.5 "R and the frets are medium vintage frets, slightly larger than the vintage type frets.
The pickups are hand-wound "60/63ST", signed "EP" and the circuit is Vintage Mod. #2, which prevents the high frequencies from being attenuated when the volume is turned down.
There is very light fret wear on the plain strings in the low position, but not much else, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
