Fender Custom Shop 2021 Limited 62/63 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic
This is the "1962/1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic" model, which was produced in a limited production run as the 2020 Mid-Year LTD.
It is a reissue of a 1962-1963 model with an aged Olympic finish and rounded rosewood fingerboard, and reproduces the specifications of the transitional period, such as the rounded rosewood fingerboard, pickguard screw hole positions, and position mark spacing.
It has a Journeyman Relic finish that reproduces the moderate feel of use, and the back of the neck has a Heavy Relic finish with stripped paint.
The neck is a slightly thicker 1963 "C" shape, the fretboard has a compound radius from 7.25 "R to 9.5 "R, and medium vintage frets are used, which are slightly larger than vintage frets.
The pickups are hand-wound "60/63ST" with "EP" signature, and the circuit is Vintage Mod. #2 to prevent attenuation of high frequencies when the volume is turned down.
The frets are very slightly worn on the plain strings in the low position, but not much on the rest of the frets.
