Description

A really nice, well thought-out re-creation of an American icon. We’ve been lucky to have our share of real ’54 and ’55-era Stratocasters. They have their “thing”. Normally light ash bodies, unique plastic, different magnets, and an acoustic “growl”. Eric Johnson and Ron Wood are fans.
These really dial it in. Expect a large quartersawn “v” neck that gets rounder as you go up towards the body, quite comfortable. This has a light one-piece ash body (just under 7 pounds).
The plastic (excluding the pickguard) recalls the early brittle type of plastic with its own look and feel that Fender used at the time.
The nitrocellulose lacquer finish is a gorgeous two-tone with chocolate brown into yellow that looks really authentic. The aging on these seems uniquely well-done.
It does feature a 9.5” radius, a modern departure from an original 1954 Strat, that you may prefer as it makes bending easier.
Comes with all the “case candy” as when new. Trem arm and cover, guitar strap, cool Strat book, Custom Shop tool kit, and the COA. Deluxe center-pocket tweed case with red poodle interior.
At the end of the day the guitar is a fine musical instrument, and we would expect these to rise in value over the long term. Made in Corona, California, USA.
