Fender Custom Shop 2021 1967 Stratocaster Heavy Relic
This is a "1967 Stratocaster Heavy Relic" model with aged black finish and round laminated rosewood fingerboard.
It is a reproduction of the specs of 1967 with Transition logo, large head, and Kluson tuners.
Boldly stripped paint to the neck grip and body back, detailed weather checks, dents on the body edge, and tarnished metal parts all give it the outstanding look and texture of years of use.
The neck grip is a slightly thicker 1966 Oval "C" shape than the '60 models, and the pickups are hand-wound with "CG" signatures : '69s in the neck, Fat 60s in the center, and Texas Special in the bridge.
The circuit is Vintage Mod. #2 with an independent capacitors for the rear position to prevent high frequency attenuation when the volume is turned down.
The body shape is 66-67 style, but the body is incorrectly stamped "57 Relic".
It has been re-fretted, no fret wear, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition. (with original nut).
