Offered for your consideration is this top of the line D'Pergo Signature Limited Veneer S built in 2014. In the world of boutique Strat-style electrics, this is likely the best you can get. Period.
As a Signature Limited instrument, Stefan spared no expense when building this guitar. Only the very best woods, metals, plastics and construction techniqes were utilized. It has a one piece body made of recovered alder and a smooth, satin-finished neck made from a single piece of flat-sawn recovered maple. It has a total weight of just 7.4 pounds and is perfectly balanced. The guitar has been given a pre-ban Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with impeccably-shaped medium frets and a 1.650" vintage bone nut. The neck carve is Stefan's Vintage Offset V-C shape with a depth of .98" at the first fret increasing to 1.05" at the twelfth, although it feels noticeably slimmer due to it's unique shape and it feels oh so good in your hand! The electronics include D'Pergo Limited Alnico III hand-wounds. Every single element of this guitar is premium, including the hardware, the three-ply parchment guard and the lovely and quite unique Rose Mist metallic nitrocellulose finish.
Unless you have played a D'Pergo, particularly a Signature Limited model, it is hard to appreciate how luxurious an electric guitar can be. From the smooth, dry satin finish of the neck to the hand-polished fret ends to the movement of the switching, every single element on this guitar is designed to enhance the guitar's resonance, tone and playability. The tone of D'Pergo guitars is always special, but these Limited grade instruments are simply amazing. Please check out the brief SoundSample included below. These D'Pergo pickups have a voicing that is magic with a depth and complexity that differeniate them from the other Strat-style guitars.
I classify the condition of this guitar as 'near mint' only because I hesitate to call any previously-played guitar 'mint' (or flawless), as that is almost impossible. That said, this D'Pergo is in amazing condition and in as near to new condition that a used guitar can be. It has no flaws of any significance and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original G&G case which also remains in superb shape.
The original owner paid nearly $16K for this instrument when it was commissioned a decade ago. I can only imagine what replacing it would cost you today. Certainly thousands of dollars more than our asking price for this incredible example with a considerable wait time. Make this near mint masterpiece yours today. You will be very glad you did!
