Bay Area Vintage Guitars is proud to offer this rare, vintage, and unique 1960 Vintage Carvin 3-SGB solid body electric guitar.
The body shape is more of a Les Paul shape; we have never seen another one like it. It's possible someone removed the 'horn' from the bass side of the body, but it doesn't appear to have been refinished. (see closeup pictures of this area)
The Carvin’s AP-6 'hi-fidelity' pickups, with adjustable poles, offer a cleaner, tighter sound over Gibson's P-90s. These are the same pickups Semie Moseley used on early Mosrite guitars of the late ’50s.
The neck is straight, and the frets have plenty of life remaining.
